I could easily have given tis unit "5s" all the way across.

Bottom line, this is a very sturdy, heavily built unit that will hold all your gear securely.

The packaging is excellent... And it is very heavy.

You can see that the manufacturer has been working to make assembly user friendly. It is very Ikea like in its organization. For instance each type of fastener is packaged separately and labeled. You can look at the instruction sheet, see the quantity included as well as a picture of the part and dimensions.

The exploded diagram of the assembly is adequate. It could be improved with a couple more drawings. If you like putting stuff together you will have fun. They provide a variety of fasteners and spacers for attaching the support bracket to your flat screen. A couple of lines of explanation would be helpful.

The finish is very good for the price. Fit is where I marked down a bit. Everything fits with no effort but connected pieces are not level... Practically it doesn't matter but if you are particular you will notice it. I did end up putting a shim under one of the TV support brackets to level it - it was off an eighth of an inch.

The one thing I was unhappy with is that the middle shelf is pretty narrow because of the shelf support. I could not fit my receiver in there so measure very carefully, then plan on having 1 1/2" less to work with.. BTW the tempered glass shelves are very nicely finished with beveled edges. They are not attached to the brackets but they are so heavy it doesn't matter.

I mounted a 50" Pioneer plasma on the unit. It is a very heavy unit and it was a push for two of us to lift the unit high enough to fit the brackets on. The forward/aft tilt of the set can be adjusted by loosening friction knobs on both sides. While they seem to be holding fine, I would be concerned if I were mounting an even heavier set..

Again, the unit is rock solid, there is plenty of room for everything and it looks good. Someone would have to work very hard to better it at this price point. Recommended!

The instructions were short on wording, but the company rep was very helpful with answering questions. The stand looks great and the clamps on the back hold the wiring very well.
